A Girls Destiny

It was a cold, rainy day and a girl, by the name of Jessica McClain, was sitting on a bench. Her hair was wet and stuck to her pale face. She tilted her head up to look at the rainy sky. The clouds were gray and dark. A car pulled up to the curve, and the girl got up to walk toward the car. She opened the door and got inside. The man driving the car was her father. He and the girl drove off down the road. The rain pounded on the hood of the car, and the windshield wipers made different sounds as they slide across the glass. The girl raised her dark brown eyes to look out her window. She sighed and rested her head against the back of the seat. "I hate rain," she mumbled under her breath. She crossed her arms and closed her eyes. "Is grandma home," she asked her dad? He shook his head and said yes. When they came to her house Jessica grabbed her book bag and opened the door. She walked up to the porch and her father unlocked the door. They walked in and her grandmother was lying on the couch, watching T.V. Jessica walked into her room and sat down on the bed. She sighed once again and lay down on the bed. Eventually, she fell asleep. She was awoken by a huge crashing sound from outside.

She got up and run to the window. She saw three eyes staring at her through the window. "Ahhhhhh," she screamed as she backed away. A three-eyed boy opened the window and came into the room. "Who are you," Jessica commanded sourly. The boy stood, motionless before her, saying nothing. His red-brown eyes burned into hers. He walked closer to her, step after step. She backed away until she had reached the wall," Who are you? What do you want," Jessica screamed. The boy stopped and tilted his head," You are human, aren't you," he said finally. The girl had a confused look on her face," you've totally lost it," she blurted out," Yes, I'm human now go before I call the police!" The boy smirked," this can't be the girl I'm looking for." The girl finally gathered up her courage and pushed him out of her room. She shut her door and locked it. The boy knocked on the door and broke the lock. The door squeaked as it opened. The boy walked back over to her and put a hand to the side of her face. The girls eyes were wide with fear as he started licking her neck. She froze and a tingle went up her spine. She felt her hand ball up in a fist. The boy stopped and looked into her eyes. "Feh, so you are her," he said silently.

The girl was terrified, as he put his hand under her chin, and kissed her softly. The boy turned around and walked back toward the window. "Goodbye for now," he said as he disappeared into the night. The girl still stood there. Her hair on her arms stood up, she finally walked up to the window to look outside for the boy, but he was gone. She slowly raised her hand to her lips where he had kissed her. She walked up to her bed and tried to get the thought out of her mind. She fell asleep and was awakened by her alarm clock the next day. It was the weekend so there was no school. She kicked off the covers and got up. "I hope that was a dream," the girl said as she began to get dressed. She walked over to her dresser and brushed her short, light-brown hair. Jessica set the brush back down and walked into the living room. Her parents were still asleep. She walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. She pulled out the orange juice and poured it into a glass. She drank it and walked outside. Little did she know, that the boy from last night was watching her. The boy dropped down in front of her. She screamed in fear and shouted," it wasn't a dream!"

The boy walked up to her, his eyes burning into hers." What do you want from me," the girl shouted. The boy crossed his arms and said," You're my mate." The girls' eyes opened wide. "Mate," she cried," I'm not your mate, you baka!" The boy rolled his eyes. The girl noticed a bandana around his head and she reached up to it. The boy quickly smacked her hand away from it and smirked," I'm not the one that planned it, Koenma did." The girl gave a puzzled look," who's Koenma," she asked, raising an eyebrow. A little toddler appeared, and said," I'm Koenma, ruler of the Spirit World." The girl gasped," so you are the one that predicts us as mates huh," She said angrily. The toddler nodded," You two are perfect for each other," he said with a smile. The girl's jaw dropped," WHAT," she yelled. The boy stood in front of her," My names Hiei, DON'T MESS IT UP," he yelled. Hiei turned and walked away silently. Jessica stood motionless and felt like she was going to loose her temper. She turned and angrily walked away.

Jessica mumbled to herself until she reached a dead end. "CRAP," she shouted. Jessica turned around to see a man standing in front of her. The man raised a knife to her neck and said," Now you shall die, Jesushika Mukukurainu!" The girl screamed in fear and Hiei jumped down in front of her. Hiei growled and unsheathed his sword. "Who are you," Hiei shouted angrily. The man stood there, saying nothing. Hiei growled again and sliced through him with his sword. Hiei chuckled and turned to face Jessica." Are you ok," he asked. Jessica nodded and walked past him. Hiei followed behind her quietly. Jessica stopped and turned to look at him. "Why are we mates," she asked, with a confused look on her face. Hiei smiled slightly and said," I don't know, guess it's because Koenma thinks we're destined to be together." Jessica shrugged," I guess so," she said silently. Hiei brushed her cheek and softly put his lips against hers to form a passionate kiss. " I have to go," Jessica said quickly," Bye!" She turned and headed for home. Hiei watched as she turned the corner to her house.
